These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of StatRival, including our mobile applications, website, contests, leaderboards, Game Intel features, subscriptions, rewards, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. About StatRival
StatRival is a skill-based sports prediction and competition platform designed for sports fans to test their knowledge, make predictions, compete on leaderboards, and participate in contests and challenges.
StatRival does not accept sports wagers, does not permit users to bet money against one another, and does not operate user-to-user cash wagering.
Where prizes or rewards are offered, eligibility, availability, contest rules, and restrictions may vary and will be disclosed in the applicable contest or promotion.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity occurring through your account.
You may not create accounts using false information, impersonate another person, create accounts for abusive or fraudulent purposes, or use automated systems to create accounts or participate in contests.
StatRival may use age information to determine whether additional consent or restrictions apply.
For minors, StatRival may require approval from a parent or legal guardian before allowing full account access. Where parental consent is required, access may remain restricted until valid consent is received.
Parents or guardians who approve a minor’s participation represent that they are authorized to provide that consent.
3. Sports Contests and Predictions
StatRival may offer prediction contests involving professional or college sports, including NFL, college football, NBA, MLB, and other supported competitions.
Contest formats, scoring systems, deadlines, tie-breakers, eligibility requirements, prizes, and other conditions may differ by contest.
Your predictions must be submitted before the applicable game-lock deadline.
Predictions may become locked when a game begins or at another deadline stated in the applicable contest.
Once a prediction is locked, it generally cannot be changed.
StatRival’s server-side records determine whether a prediction was timely submitted.
4. Scoring and Official Results
StatRival calculates contest results using sports data received from third-party data providers and our own server-side scoring systems.
Scores, standings, and rankings may initially be marked provisional.
StatRival may correct results when a sports-data provider corrects an official score, game result, cancellation, postponement, or other material game information.
Rewards, experience points, badges, or other progression may therefore be delayed while results are verified.
StatRival’s good-faith determination of contest scoring and final standings is final except where applicable law requires otherwise.
5. Game Intel and Sports Information
StatRival may provide Game Intel features such as:
- injury information;
- team statistics;
- recent form;
- head-to-head history;
- venue information;
- football weather forecasts; and
- other sports-related information.
Game Intel is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only.
Sports information can be incomplete, delayed, corrected, or inaccurate. Injury statuses, weather, schedules, rosters, and statistics may change without notice.
You should not rely on Game Intel as financial, medical, wagering, or other professional advice.
6. Subscriptions
StatRival may offer paid subscription tiers providing additional features or benefits.
Subscription pricing, duration, free trials, and included features are shown before purchase.
Purchases made through Apple or Google are processed by the applicable app store and are subject to that store’s payment terms.
Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled in accordance with your app-store account settings.
StatRival does not directly control app-store billing, refunds, renewal timing, or payment-method processing.
Users may use the available Restore Purchases functionality where supported.
StatRival may modify subscription features prospectively, subject to applicable law and platform rules.
7. StatCoins, XP, Levels, and Virtual Items
StatRival may provide virtual or account-based features such as StatCoins, XP, levels, badges, profile customization items, or similar digital benefits.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
- StatCoins and similar virtual items have no cash value;
- they are not legal tender;
- they cannot be withdrawn for cash;
- they are not transferable between users unless StatRival expressly enables such functionality; and
- they do not represent ownership, equity, cryptocurrency, or a financial account.
StatRival may adjust virtual-item balances when necessary to correct technical errors, fraud, abuse, or scoring corrections.
8. Prizes and Promotions
Some contests or promotions may include prizes.
Prize eligibility may depend on age, location, account standing, contest rules, verification requirements, and applicable law.
StatRival may require identity, eligibility, tax, guardian, or other documentation before distributing a prize.
Users are responsible for taxes or reporting obligations associated with prizes to the extent required by law.
StatRival may substitute a prize of comparable value when reasonably necessary.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- cheat, collude, or manipulate contest results;
- use bots, scripts, automation, scraping, or unauthorized APIs;
- exploit software bugs;
- create multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage;
- interfere with another user’s account;
- bypass age or parental-consent controls;
- attempt unauthorized access to StatRival systems;
- reverse engineer or disrupt the Service except where law expressly permits;
- harass, threaten, or abuse other users;
- use the Service for illegal gambling or wagering;
- sell or transfer accounts; or
- use StatRival in violation of applicable law.
StatRival may investigate suspected abuse and may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts.
10. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, suspected fraud, security risks, legal requirements, abuse, manipulation, or conduct that threatens the integrity of StatRival.
You may initiate account deletion from within the app.
Certain information may be retained when legally required or reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, billing records, regulatory compliance, or enforcement.
11. Intellectual Property
StatRival, including its name, logos, branding, software, designs, original graphics, features, and other proprietary materials, is owned by or licensed to StatRival and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Sports league, team, event, and player names, logos, trademarks, statistics, and related materials may belong to their respective owners.
Unless specifically stated, StatRival is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any professional or collegiate sports league, team, school, conference, player, or governing body.
12. Third-Party Services
StatRival relies on third-party providers for functions that may include hosting, authentication, databases, sports data, weather data, subscription management, email delivery, and app-store billing.
Third-party services may become unavailable, delayed, inaccurate, or discontinued.
StatRival is not responsible for third-party outages beyond our reasonable control.
13. Service Availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain, secure, improve, or update the Service.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Games may be postponed, canceled, suspended, or corrected by leagues or data providers, and StatRival may adjust contest handling accordingly.
14. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”
StatRival does not guarantee that:
- sports data will always be accurate or complete;
- predictions will produce any particular outcome;
- contests or prizes will always be available;
- weather or injury information will be current; or
- the Service will operate without interruption or error.
Nothing on StatRival guarantees financial gain or any wagering outcome.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StatRival and its officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
16. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold StatRival harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of another person’s rights.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically.
If a change materially affects your rights, we may provide notice through the Service, email, website, or another reasonable method.
Continued use after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
